Indian Women Invited at 'Mujeres Brillantes' Meeting

Vicenza: “Mujeres Brillantes” (Brilliant Women), a group of about 500 businesswomen operating in the gold and jewellery sector that, although mainly from Latin America, also come from Turkey, Russia, Italy, Romania and Israel, will organize its maiden global meeting in September, 2017 at the VICENZAORO exhibition.

The “Mujeres Brillantes” mission is to help women in the jewellery and watch sector to consolidate their business by networking and sharing their own professionalism and experience. The “Mujeres Brillantes” chose Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) and the VICENZAORO platform due to their mutual vision of gender equality and the respect and attention paid to women at the head of jewellery companies.

“Our overall sensation is that the industry is too focussed on sales rather than on the actual buying experience or the interiorization of other elements,” said Mujeres Brillantes President, Ali Pastorini. “As women, we instinctively understand that the act of buying ought to be a special and intimate moment that goes beyond a business transaction.” More than a simple campaign, the intention of the group is to improve the marketing approach upstream and to offer a new look at the sector through a female eye.

A good example is the invitation that Italian Exhibit Group and Fiera di Vicenza made this year to host the International Meeting of Mujeres Brillantes on September 24th at 11 a.m. during the VicenzaOro. This demonstrates the power of the incredible women in our group and how the industry is willing to support us, how people in the industry already understood that exclude women won´t be more acceptable.

Extending an invitation to Indian Women, Ms. Ali says, “I want to take this opportunity to invite the Indian women jewellers to join us in this special day in Vicenza where we will discuss and debate the next step of our group to continue to help women to develop and advance professionally. I do believe that have Indian representatives in our International Meeting will be very important.”
