‘Design Inspirations’ Workshop on Feb 24-25

Mumbai: India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) will be organizing ‘Design Inspirations’, its annual two-day workshop on contemporary jewellery design trends for India and key international markets, on February 24-25 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

The workshop will be conducted by well-known jewellery trends forecaster Paula DeLuca from Italy. It will cover the trends in India, Europe and USA.

The two-day event will have a number of different sessions each devoted to a particular theme. Some of the areas that will be covered include Design, Diamonds, Coloured Gemstones and Pearls, Metals and Materials, Technology and Retail, with specialist panels in each session.

Among the panellists are Pallavi Foley (designer), Varuna D. Jani (V.D. Jani), Farah Khan Ali (Farah Khan Jewellery), Abhishek Haritwal (Symmetry), Shimul Vyas (NID, Ahmedabad), Vikram Merchant (Rio Tinto), Sachin Jain (Forevermark), Anup Bohra (Jewels Emporium), Vaishali Bannerjee (PGI), Vipin Sharma (WGC), Janak Mistry (Lexus), Shishir Nevatia (Sunjewels), Umesh Ganjam (Ganjam), Vijay Jain (Orra) and others.

The workshop aims to provide the industry with relevant updates so as to plan their designs and production more effectively. It is open to members of the industry and students.
