Moscow: The World Diamond Council (WDC) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Moscow, Russia this year from October 12 to October 14.
The AGM will start with one of two sessions of the WDC Board of Directors on the afternoon of Monday, October 12.
A number of high profile speakers are expected to address the opening session on October 13, including Andrey Zharkov, ALROSA’s president, and senior Russian finance ministry officials. Among the issues to be discussed are the challenges to the Kimberley Process and the WDC’s response, as well as the council’s first strategic organizational plan.
The AGM is open only to dues-paying WDC members and invited guests. It will be hosted by WDC member and major diamond mining company ALROSA.
