Mumbai: Iconic cricketer Sachin Tendulkar today presented complete cricket kits to six children suffering from life threatening medical conditions on behalf of Jewellers for Hope and Make a Wish Foundation, India.
The presentation took place at the residence of the cricketing legend on October 9. Colin Shah and Ashish Kothari represented the Jewellers for Hope and Deepak Bhatia, CEO attended on behalf of Make a Wish Foundation.
It may be recalled that the gems and jewellery industry had organised a Gala Charity event under the banner of its newly floated body Jewellers for Hope in July this year. At the function, held in association with GSI, a cheque of Rs one crore was handed over to the Make a Wish Foundation, India.
Over 150 children suffering from different medical conditions across nearly 10 Indian cities have received similar gifts from the organization as a result of the very generous donation made by the Jewellers for Hope on behalf of the Indian gems and jewellery industry.
