Mujeres Billantes World Tour 2018

Panama: Mujeres Brillantes, an association founded in 2016 that serves as an empowering platform for women jewelers around the world, starts this new year with the right foot. As a new year brings new goals, Mujeres Brillantes welcomed 2018 with its first World Tour. Reaffirming her commitment to Mubri, Ali Pastorini, founder and president, started the tour in Panama where the association was created.

In Panama, Pastorini met with the founding and new members to reassure the strength of the association. Her presentation covered plans for 2018 and exposed the continuous growth that the organization has had worldwide. The members took advantage of the encounter to share some concerns and propose some ideas that will become part of this year’s agenda.

Furthermore, the president met with a handful of the most relevant local media to share her views of Mujeres Brillantes, its achievements and the new goals set; she consequently invited these outlets to stay tuned to Mubri’s activities in the near future. The visit to the central American country also helped to set new alliances with business and businessmen and women from the jewelry sector. Her tour included visits to Makers Space jewelry school, Gustavo Salazar jewelry shop, and Roberto Coin Boutique.

“When the planning of the World Tour 2018 began, I wanted to visit the country where it all started first. While in Panama, I was enthused to watch how local jewelers accompanied us in our events, demonstrated their support, and understood that Mubri was not found only to give more value to women, but to show that it is necessary, and possible, to work in hand with men,” said Pastorini. “There in an undeniable gender gap in the industry, and it is satisfying to see such a positive response in such a short period of time,” she added.

Pastorini’s visit will cover countries mainly in Latin America and Europe, where chapters have been created and are growing. Her visits will cover internal gatherings with Mubri active members and external meeting with the local media, jewelry business and other allies. Her ultimate goal is to reinforce the need of unity within the members to achieve the empowerment that the association is looking for, and to demonstrate to different companies, schools, and similar organizations the value that Mujeres Brillantes can add to the industry.

Mujeres Brillantes World Tour 2018 is just the kick start of what promises to be a decisive year for this young association. The new goals established by its president and members show that this inclusive platform will catapult nothing but opportunities to men and women who are looking for gender equality in the jewelry business around the world.
