London Diamond Bourse to Host Open Day

londonlogoLondon: The London Diamond Bourse (LDB) in the capital’s Hatton Garden area, has set a date for its inaugural open day, taking place on Monday, February 23.

In a statement, the bourse said: “The open day will provide a great opportunity for visitors to discover new suppliers, network or simply to see what the LDB has to offer the industry. On the trading floor, you will find diamonds from melee to sizes, coloured gemstones, fancy natural coloured diamonds, watches, bespoke pieces, fine jewellery, ethical stones, restoration of antique jewellery, courier services, trade insurers all under one roof.”

The event is the trade organization’s first ever such event and one that it hopes will reveal new aspects of the bourse to the industry. The LDB’s stock and services are available in the UK from members who subscribe to a code of conduct and all are regarded as of high standing, collectively comprising over 1,000 years of diamond knowledge.

LDB added: “There is an ease of transaction associated with sourcing goods from a LDB member – there are few shipping charges, no customs declaration or long waiting times.”

Victoria McKay, chief operating office at LDB, said: “We believe events like this will help us and our members reach new audiences and continue to help us grow. The LDB and its members are a wonderful resource to the trade and want to do business.”

Tickets are free but subject to security clearance. Trade only guests are invited to register their interest in attending the event or for more information please contact openday@londondiamondbourse.com
