Lockdown in India Extended till May 3, 2020

New Delhi: India’s Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has extended lockdown in the country till 3rd May, 2020.

In his address to the nation today, Mr. Modi announced that based on the suggestions of the state governments and the experts the nationwide lockdown has been extended till May 3. He added that till April 20 all districts, localities, states will be closely monitored, as to how strictly they are implementing norms.”States which will not let hotspots increase, they could be allowed to let some important activities resume, but with certain conditions,” he said.

Meanwhile, the number of coronavirus cases in India cross the 10,000 mark on Tuesday to 10,363 including 8,988 active cases, 1,035 cured and 339 deaths.
