Final of India Jewellery Skill Competition Held

logoMumbai: Mr. Surojitrana H. from Coimbatore and Mr. Vinod Kumar C. from Bangalore were selected today in a final round of the India Jewellery Skill Competition held at the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS).

The Competition is being held by the Gem & Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) to decide the country’s representative at the prestigious WorldSkills International Competition to be held between August 11 & 16, 2015 at Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The winner duo Mr. Surojitrana H. and Mr. Vinod Kumar C. now will be trained at Indore by the industry expert Mr. Parag Vyas for 10 months and then one of the two will be selected as winner who will represent India in the next WorldSkills International.

The GJSCI has been mandated by the Indian Government to identify and select a candidate to represent India at the WorldSkills Competition. The GJSCI conducted four regional competitions at Kolkata, Thrissur, Jaipur and Mumbai to shortlist the best candidates to compete in the finals.
