AGTA Spectrum Awards Postponed to Summer

New York: The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) announced that it has decided to move its annual design competition, the AGTA Spectrum Awards to July.

AGTA CEO Douglas K Hucker, said that the organization had taken the decision to move the awards for the benefit of designers and manufacturers, so that it would not interfere with the holiday selling season.

The AGTA Spectrum Awards recognize colored gemstone and pearl jewelry designs, with a wide range of categories, including Evening Wear, Bridal Wear sponsored by The Knot, Business Day Wear, Classical Wear and Men’s Wear. The awards also seek to recognize excellence in platinum and silver jewelry through the Platinum Honors and the Savor Silver Awards.

The deadline for entries is June 17, and the New York drop-off will take place on June 28.
