New York: The 2016 AGTA (American Gem Trade Association) Spectrum Awards will feature a new category highlighting silver jewelry. The new category, sponsored by the Silver Promotion Service (SPS), will be called Savor Silver and will honor “exceptionally designed silver jewelry incorporating natural colored gemstones or cultured pearls.”

“The SPS is proud to become one of the sponsors of this year’s AGTA Spectrum Awards,” said SPS director Michael Barlerin. “The inclusion of a Savor Silver Spectrum Awards category, concurrent with the SPS’s introduction of the new Silver Style Partners designation for jewelry made with silver, seemed to be a perfect opportunity for both our organizations.”

Applications for the 2016 AGTA Spectrum Awards are due on Sept. 18.
