50 Indian Exhibitors Participate in Jewellery Arabia

GJEPC_LogoVimalBahrain:  The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is organizing India Pavilion featuring leading names from the Indian gem and jewellery industry at the forthcoming Jewellery Arabia. The largest and most prestigious jewellery exhibition in the Middle East is slated from 22 to 26 November 2016 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.  India Pavilion which will be situated in Hall 2 of the Convention Centre shall have 50 leading companies, spread over a significant 750 square metres of exhibition space. The exhibitors are all geared up to showcase exquisite craftsmanship and jewellery collections comprising of high-end diamond jewellery and fine jewellery.

Praveenshankar Pandya, Chairman, GJEPC said, “Middle East has emerged as one of the key leading markets accounting for $12.4 billion in 2015 (30%) of the total Indian gem and jewellery exports to the region. The Indian manufactures have an advantage that jewellery preference and design sensibilities of Middle East is very similar to that of India, and one could see, over the years, there has been a substantial demand for Indian designed products. Jewellery Arabia gives us the perfect opportunity to further improve our trade with the region.”

India pavilion will be a showcase of exquisite craftsmanship and jewellery collections in high-end diamond jewellery, gold and platinum jewellery, and fine jewellery; a display of loose diamonds, studded gold jewellery, designer handmade jewellery, high-end diamond jewellery, bridal jewellery and exclusive pieces. Specific to the taste of the Middle East market, Indian participants will focus on jewellery with colour stones, sapphires, emeralds, rubies and solitaire diamonds.

Diamond jewellery in palladium and platinum and in different settings would also be showcased.

“Middle East has remained one of the key focus area for India and we will continue to put our concerted efforts to increase gem & jewellery trade in this region” added Mr. Pandya.

Featuring over 600 exhibitors from 30 nations, spread over 18,000 square metres, Jewellery Arabia, the 5-day trade event will showcase finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, objets d’art, jewellery packaging and technology from across the globe. The exhibitors would include eminent jewellery houses and major brand names. Complementing these iconic brands are large national groups of retailers, designers and manufacturers from leading jewellery export countries.
