Dubai: The Vicenzaoro Dubai was witness to the first VOD JEWELLERY AWARDS 2016, presented to Industry stalwarts. The award was organized by Fierra Di Vicenza and partnered by The New Jeweller Group, UAE and Middle East’s’ foremost Media services company for the gems and jewellery industry.

Stalwarts who have been true ambassadors to the gems and jewellery industry of Dubai and have been instrumental in placing the Dubai jewellery Industry on the world map. The award was a fitting tribute to the industry as this recognition came in with much fanfare and glamour. Dubai and the UAE is also the Kimberley Process Chair for the year 2016 and has been working towards creating a neutral platform for the Diamond industry to converge and trade. Millions of Dollars worth of Diamonds traded on the Dubai Diamond Exchange is testimony to the fact that Dubai is a clear winner for the world especially the African region.

Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group, Rosy Blue Group, Dhamani Group, Siroya Group etc. are the entities from Dubai who have been striving to not only build their own business but also have worked towards showcasing Dubai as a transparent, systemised and energetic jewellery economy of the world. It is but due to their ardent efforts that Dubai is today the land of Gold, Diamonds, Pearls and Colored gemstones and the city has moved up from just ‘DUBAI’ to ‘MADE IN DUBAI’. The first VOD JEWELLERY AWARDS 2016, partnered by The New Jeweller Group also came at a time when the jewellery city is promoting manufacturing companies to set up and operate from Dubai. The ‘Made in Dubai’ concept has garnered big boost from the government and is proving to become a huge success for the jewellers in the manufacturing sector.

The Glamorous awards concluded with the best of brands showcasing their exquisite products through a catwalk. The jewellery ramp gala was witnessed by the who’s who of the Dubai jewellery industry.
