Think Pure Awards by PNG Jewellers

Pune​: In fond reminiscence of Late Shri Dajikaka Gadgil’s 103rd Birth Anniversary, PNG Jewellers successfully concluded the fourth edition of Think Pure Awards on Monday, 11th September, 2017. The awards night held at Balgandharva Rangamandir, Pune celebrated the epitome of performing arts and culture. The event was graced by many prominent personalities like Pune Mayor Sau. Mukta Tilak, Mr. Girish Bapat- Cabinet Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune, Dr. S. B. Mujumdar- Founder and President of Symbiosis Society and Dr. K H Sancheti.

The awards ceremony was inaugurated by lighting of lamp by all esteemed chief guests in the presence of Mr. Saurabh Gadgil – CMD, PNG Jewellers, Mr. Parag Gadgil – Executive Director, PNG Jewellers and Mr. Vidyadhar Gadgil – Director, PNG Jewellers. The event proceeded by felicitating the achievers from various walks of life who have excelled at their respective field and also, made an impact to the society.

The award categories were spread across various segments, the award for exceptional Social work was presented to Lt. Col. (retd) Suresh Patil – Green Thumb, Dr. Somnath Patil was awarded for Education, in the category of Business Mr. Shashank Paranjape of Paranjape Construction was felicitated, Dr. Vishwanath Karad was honored with the Gem of Pune award for his contribution in the fields of Education, Social Work and Cultural. This year even saw additional award categories including Women Empowerment award bagged by Ms. Sonia Agarwal Konjeti and Performing Arts awards secured by Mr. Prashant Damle.

The awards ceremony was then followed by a theatre act play ‘Sakhar Khallela Manus’ – a light comic act about a diabetic middle-aged man performed by a legendry theatre artist, Prashant Damle.

On this joyous occasion, Mr. Saurabh Gadgil – Chairman & Managing Director, PNG Jewellers stated, “It’s only for Dajikaka’s love for art we have been able to successfully curate the fourth edition of Think Pure Awards. He was a true fan of performing arts and as per the saying, ‘The Alchemist possesses the art of gilding but only a Goldsmith can scratch gold from the darkest mines’. Similarly, Dajikaka possessed an art of finding the best in people and helped them shine. He was a true alchemist in his own right.”
