Thailand Gems & Jewellery Fair Postponed

Bangkok: The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) said its inaugural Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair scheduled to be held from September 7 to 11 has been postponed to 2017 due to problems with securing the necessary space at the venue in the time required. In an official statement the organization said, “We had hoped to resolve the issue by now but unfortunately, despite our full efforts we regretfully were unable to [do so] within the necessary timeframe, despite our full readiness and preparations.”

The TGJTA is now focusing on securing another exhibition for the Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair in 2017 instead. “We are highly confident that this move will enable us to ensure greater benefits and a much better fair for our membership and the Thai gem and jewelry industry. We will provide an update on this progress as soon as possible. Please know that the TGJTA is absolutely disappointed with this unexpected development and we offer our most heartfelt apologies to all exhibitors and visitors who have put faith in us in organizing the fair in September. We hope for your understanding in this unfortunate matter.” TGJTA is also returning deposits from exhibitors for the 2016 fair.
