RJC Restructures Management Team

responsible-jewellery-council-logoNew York: The board of directors for the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) resolved to restructure its management team and introduce the role of executive director in place of its former CEO, Ashish Deo, who left the organization. James Courage, the chairman of the board, or Charles Chaussepied, the board’s vice chair, is expected to address the changes in detail during the annual general meeting on April 13 in Mumbai.

RJC stated that its chief operating officer, Catherine Sproule, will work with the executive director to provide continuity with the organization’s structure. There will also be a standards director as RJC rebuilds its standards team due to recent turnover.

The annual meeting will also include a standards committee meeting, a conference presented in partnership with the Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) and a dinner hosted by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). Attendees will also visit the BDB and the SEEPZ in Surat.
