Singapore: The Organizing Committee of the 41st World Diamond Congress (WDC), to be held July 12-15, 2026, in Singapore, announced that the full programme of the three-day event is now available and can be viewed in full on the dedicated Congress website.
While the Congress panels for the joint WFDB and IDMA sessions were published earlier, the full programme now also lists presentations and panel discussions staged by the host bourse, the Diamond Exchange of Singapore (DES).
On Tuesday afternoon, July 14, the DES will host three presentations:
- At 15:00 hours, the renowned diamond and jewellery historian Dr. Usha Balakrishnan will present “Golconda and Ancient Diamonds – A Historical Perspective.”
- After a comfort break, a panel discussion with Dr. Roy Safit and Janak Mistry, moderated by Richa Goyal Sikri will revolve around “The Unsolved Mystery of Colour in Diamonds”
- The afternoon will be concluded with a presentation by Dr. Wuyi Wang, a top researcher at the GIA – the Gemological Institute of America, who will speak about “The Natural Diamond Experience – A Tale of Nature’s Wonders.”
The World Diamond Congress is the diamond industry’s foremost global gathering, held biennially by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA). It brings together the global diamond and jewellery industry’s leadership to reflect on the significant challenges and many changes of recent years – and to shape what comes next.
The 2026 World Diamond Congress will be held in conjunction with the World Diamond Congress, the diamond industry’s foremost global gathering, held every three years by the WFDB and the IDMA.
