Mumbai: India’s Minister of Commerce & Industry Mr. Piyush Goyal visited SEEPZ-SEZ in Mumbai on 30th July to review the progress of Mega Common Facility Centre (CFC). This was the minister’s second review meeting of the Mega CFC in the month of July 2022.
“This modern infrastructure with focus on technology, trade and training will help transform India’s Gem & Jewellery sector into a global champion,” Mr. Goyal commented on Twitter.
Being built at a cost of Rs.82.31 crore, the Mega CFC is expected to be operational by 1st May, 2023.
Representing GJEPC at the meeting were Mr. Bobby Kothari, Co-Convener, SEZ Sub-committee, GJEPC and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC among others.
