The Board of Directors of the Indian Diamond and Colorstone Association (IDCA) is pleased to announce Nilesh Sheth of Nice Diamonds was elected as the new President of Association and Shailesh Jhalani of Prompt Gem Importers Inc. was elected for the Vice-President’s role at their meeting held on December 11.

Joining the IDCA Board’s Executive Committee are Shrenil Bhansali of Fairway Diamonds, Inc. as Secretary; Rajeev Pandya  of Ashi Diamonds as Treasurer; and Shekhar Shah of Real Gems as Jt. Secretary.

IDCA Board members continuing as directors for 2018 include: Roopam Jain (Jay Gems, Inc.), Jay Mehta (Indigo Jewelry, Inc.), Prateek Nigam (Oriental Gemco NY, Inc.), and Mehul Shah (Shivani Gems, Inc.) with Haridas Kotahwala (Royal India USA, Inc.) and Prakash Mehta (Interings, Inc.), reelected for 2018.

Two young entrepreneurs have also been elected to the IDCA Board. They are Sujan Doshi of SA Diamonds Inc., and Shiksha Naheta of Empresa Jewels Inc. The IDCA is happy to announce that Shiksha is the first female member of the board in IDCA’s history.

Retiring Board members include IDCA President (2016/2017) Ashok Sancheti; Vice-President Rakesh Barmecha; Joint Secretary Neeraj Rawat; and Director Nirav Mehta. IDCA thanks these distinguished board members for their commitment and service to the association.
