Indian Diamantaires to Set Up Mfg Units in Ras Al Khaimah

man-cutting-diamondRas Al Khaimah: Officials from Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) and India’s leading diamantaires gathered for a high-level meeting recently at the Surat Diamond Association (SDA) premises, according to a press release.

The Government of Ras Al Khaimah was represented by officials Alan Nixon – Associate Manager, International Business Development, Government of Ras Al Khaimah and Ashok Shridharan – CA, Government of Ras Al Khaimah.

Ras Al Khaimah, now on an industrializing spree, is interested in the diamond business and looks forward for initiation from the Indian diamond manufacturers.

During the meeting, the visiting officials formally invited the Indian diamond manufacturers for setting up their manufacturing units in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE).

Ras Al Khaimah has reportedly offered to provide pre-built infrastructure for the diamond units, along with machineries and any other support required from the Government of Ras Al Khaimah (UAE).

Ras Al Khaimah is one of the seven emirates which comprise the United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The fourth-largest emirate, Ras Al Khaimah has always held a position of significance. From being a centre of traditional shipbuilding to quarrying, manufacturing and tourism, the Government of Ras Al Khaimah has been since 2003 investing heavily in education and public utilities.
