Imparting Knowledge through Digitization

Mumbai: On 1st day of the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) 2015, the Gem and Jewellery Skill Council of India (GJSCI) had conducted a seminar titled ‘Imparting knowledge through digitization. The topic touched upon the various facets of technology and its correct and efficient usage to empower e-learning in the context of gem and jewellery industry.

Mr. Nilay Yajnik, a professional in the field of program management, learning services and business development; Dr. Prashant Deshpande, a specialist in areas of leadership and skill development; Mr. Ambarish Datta, executive director of BFSI Sector Skill Council of India and Dr. Farida Virani, head of department, MET Institute of Management shared their experience in the field of digitization of learning as panelists.

Mr. Nilay shared with the audience his various experience of how technology has changed the way of learning with the advent of technology and social media. Highlighting the rapid dissemination of information in the today’s world through technology, Mr. Ambarish Datta shares his views on how tohandle the speed of communication in our day to day life. Dr. Prashant Deshpande opens up the world of internet and its role as a learning platform. Dr. Farida Virani, discussed the role and relevance of e-mentors/teachers. The seminar was moderated by Mr. Binit Bhatt, COO, GJSCI.
