IDWI Aiming for Global Participation

IsdeRamat Gan: The organizing committee of the Winter Edition of the International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI), to be held at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), February 14-18, 2016, is aiming to make the event accessible to members of all the bourses that are affiliated to the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB). Moti Fluk, the IDWI’s Chairperson, said letters of invitation had been sent to the leadership all bourses worldwide, encouraging them to send delegations of their membership to take part in this unique ‘interbourse’ event.

“February’s Diamond week will be the perfect venue for diamantaires and diamond buyers worldwide to come and stock up on diamonds following the 2015 holiday season. The current outlook for the consumer markets in the USA, as well as in Asia is still positive, in spite of the economic slowdown in the eastern markets,” Fluk said.

Preliminary registrations indicate that the concept and format of the International Diamond Week in Israel is catching on. “While the actual registration module will only come online toward the end of the month, we’ve already received many dozens of queries,” Doron Benita, IDE’s online marketing manager, reported. “This offers proof that our efforts to create a true value adding, international diamond buying platform are paying off. The proof, obviously, in in the growing numbers of participants we welcome on the trading floor of the Israel Diamond Exchange with every new edition of our ‘interbourse’ event,” he stated.
