
Mumbai: Chief Guest Mr. Peter Huyghebaert, Consul General of Belgium in Mumbai along-with Mr. Anoop Mehta, president of Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB); Mr. Michel Janssens, CEO, HRD Antwerp; Mr. Pascal Delvenne, CEO, HRD Antwerp and Mr. Ravi Chhabria, managing director, HRD Antwerp India inaugurated the lab’s new office in BDB among other dignataries.
On the ocassion, Mr. Michel Janssens, CEO, HRD Antwerp said, “We have opened our jewellery grading facility in SEEPZ yesterday, and today our office in the Bharat Diamond Bourse. We believe in the Indian market and we are here to stay. The opening of our BDB office is the first step in growing our presence in India.”
In his speech, Mr. Anoop Mehta, president, BDB said, “I welcome HRD Antwerp in the Bharat Diamond Bourse. Today we are facing issues of CVD and the presence of HRD Antwerp in the bourse will help the traders a lot in conducting their business peacefully and effectively.”
Appreciating the efforts made by the BDB in the successful launch of HRD Antwerp office at the BDB Ravi Chhabria said, “Our presence in the Bharat Diamond Bourse has been made possible with the help of the BDB management and the vice president Mr. Mehul Shah. All the things were done with sheer professionalism and in an organised way. We have also team up with the BDB in doing CSR activities. Under the programme, HRD will reserve two seats in all our educational programmes for the underprivileged candidates, which will be nominated by the BDB. We are glad to be a part of this initiative in doing our bit in giving back to the society.”
