MOUHong Kong: The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce of Thailand signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the HKTDC Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, as cited in JNA.

The MoU aims at further promoting trade and strengthening economic partnership between Thailand and Hong Kong. It also aims at educating exporters and producers on the benefits of using mobile and Internet platforms to promote their products.

According to DITP Director-General Nuntawan Sakuntanaga and HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Benjamin Chau, the agreement will involve exchange of trade information and market intelligence as well as joint trade promotional activities and training and exchange programmes.

“With closer collaboration between HKTDC and DITP, more Thai companies can leverage on HKTDC’s physical business platforms such as international trade exhibitions and the online platform to showcase Thai products and services to potential buyers around the world. On the other hand, Hong Kong companies can benefit from the extensive business connections and new opportunities created on this platform as a result. Its win-win proposition for all.” said Chau.
