GJTCI Organized 4th Edition of Excellence Awards

Ahmedabad: With a view to contribute to Vibrant Gujarat- 2017, the gems & Jewellery Trade Council of India (GJTCI) is gearing up with many events to display the uniqueness and unmatched craftsmanship of our Jewellery Industry. GJTCI Excellence Awards is one of them.

Going by the success and benefits of previous three Excellence Awards shows,  GJTCI had organized 4th Edition of  Excellence Awards on 20th November, 2016 at YMCA International, Ahmedabad.

GJTCI Excellence Awards recognizes and honours the BEST in the Indian Gem & Jewellery Industry. It is the reward of the hard work, uniqueness and unmatched quality and craftsmanship that jewellers strive to achieve throughout the year. Excellence Awards are given away to celebrate the contribution of individuals as well as business houses at the Award Event. Unlike traditional awards that focus only on jewellery products and design, these innovative awards also focus on the people that make up the industry and take the industry to different heights as well as people who fulfill their social responsibilities through their business. The Awards also recognize and appreciate the efforts of the people at root i.e. craftsmen and jewelry designers whose work goes hidden many a times.

Mr. Vajubhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka was Chief Guest of the event.

“it is very important in this challenging times to recognize the efforts of our fellow jewellers who aim at bringing employment, uniqueness and a belief of trust to the society. This year we also would look up to individuals with social welfare and women entrepreneurs as well along with jewellers,” said Mr. Shantibhai Patel, President of GJTCI.

Ms. Meghna Sejpal- Administration Head, GJTCI of informed, “This year, GJTCI also aims at encouraging women entrepreneurs in jewellery field by felicitating them in a separate category.” GJTCI also felicitated Ms. Nirupa Bhatt, Managing Director of GIA-India, Ms. Farah Ali Khan and Suhani Pittie- one of the most creative and well known jewellery designers of India who have created their own line of jewellery.

This event was presented by Swarovski and Powered by GIA. It was supported by IndextB, Gujarat Tourism and JewelTrade.

The Jewellers who were awarded for their commendable contribution towards Jewellery Industry include P.C.Chandra-Kolkatta, Reliance Jewels, Siroya Jewellers-Dubai, P N Gadgil –Pune, Waman Hari Pethe- Mumbai etc.

The Awards were given for various categories like Diamond, Plain Gold, Studded Jewellery, Kundan, Silver, Exports, woman entrepreneur, social services, lifetime achievement etc.
