GJEPC Meets Dy. CM Prior to His Japan Trip

Mumbai: Ahead of his scheduled visit to Japan, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Devendra Fadnavis met key officials of GJEPC including Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman of GJEPC; Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman of GJEPC; Mr. Anoop Mehta, President of BDB and Mr. Russell Mehta, MD of Rosy Blue. The focus of their discussion was the ambitious Jewellery Park project in Mumbai. During the meeting, Mr. Fadnavis committed to showcasing the Jewellery Park’s merits in Japan, aiming to attract investments for this significant endeavor.

Projecting Maharashtra as an ideal destination for attracting Japanese investors, Mr. Devendra Fadnavis on Monday said the state is keen to collaborate with Japan in diverse sectors, including infrastructure, education and health.

Fadnavis, who is on a five-day Japan tour, arrived at Tokyo on Monday where he received a traditional welcome by people from Maharashtra living in Japan. “It feels like I’m in Mumbai or Pune. I appreciate your efforts to keep the Maharashtra tradition, culture and language… It is the 350th year of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s coronation. The state government will extend all possible help to the Marathis living in Japan to celebrate Shivaji Jayanti,” he said.

On the first day of his arrival in Tokyo, the deputy CM held a discussion at the Indian House about attracting Japanese companies to Maharashtra and to encourage students from the state to study in Japan.
