Mumbai: GJEPC’s Surat Regional Office organised a two-day certificate course on ‘Export Process for the gem and jewellery industry’ in Rajkot on 11th-12th June, 2022.
The course was specially designed for the gem and jewellery industry and covered all the practical aspects of the export process, including Product Selection, Market Selection, Searching Buyers, Risk Management, Export Documentation, Role of Various Government departments and Council, Government benefits and Export Finance.
The chief guest for the event Shri K.V. Mori, GM, DIC – Rajkot applauded the efforts of GJEPC for creating a focused and result-oriented initiative to increase exports from Gujarat. He further informed that Rajkot’s gem and jewellery industry has immense potential to export, however due to lack of knowledge and awareness they are currently selling their goods to merchant exporters. He encouraged members to use this course as launchpad and start exporting directly.
GJEPC offered a 50% subsidy on the two-day course and expanded the capacity from 20 students to 60 due to the overwhelming response. Shri Mori distributed certificates to the participants.
