GJEPC Holds 1st Ever Meeting with Kashmir Jewellery Trade

Srinagar: India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC’s) leadership and Committee of Administration (CoA) held its first ever meeting with the jewellery trade community of Kashmir on 18th July in Srinagar. The meeting marks a significant step in building stronger ties and exploring collaborative opportunities between the jewellery traders and retailers of Kashmir and the wider trade network across India.

The meeting, presided over by Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman, GJEPC, was aimed at exchanging insights, discussing market trends, and exploring potential avenues for mutual growth and cooperation – especially ways to promote the rich heritage, unique craftsmanship, and exquisite designs that Kashmir is renowned for. Also in attendance were Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman, GJEPC; Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener of National Exhibitions Sub-committee, GJEPC; Mr. Ashok Seth, Regional Chairman – North, GJEPC; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, and other Council CoA members.

As part of GJEPC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen these newly formed relationships, it extended an invitation to the jewellery associations from Kashmir to attend the upcoming IIJS Premiere from 8th to 13th August in Mumbai.
