While we rely on CISF on security, our officials need to work harder to improve various facilities at the five-day exhibition show and bring up this event to top most global standard. Today, IIJS is considered to be 5th largest exhibition show in the world”.
Mr. Pandya further said, that GJEPC is pleased to be associated with an organization which offers national security and well organized and is professional in their approach. We have a lot of learning from them. He also further said, GJEPC has an onus on its shoulder to be the largest Diamond and Jewellery hub across the world and this is a promise GJEPC has given to PM Mr. Narendra Modi to be achieved by the year 2022.
CISF Senior Commandant Mr. Himanshu Pandey said, “CISF has been engaged with the exhibition for last one decade and every year. It is our honor to be associated with IIJS one of worlds respected jewellery trade shows. Over the years with the help of technology and modes like CCTV, surveillance levels have been improved drastically.
Further he said, “Most effective coordination with various security agencies along with new mode of security arrangement need to be implemented for such as a global event.” Commenting particularly about the theft incident at IIJS 2017, he said, there was multi-level co-ordination with various agencies and he congratulated GJEPC’s CCTV surveillance team and the Mumbai police for their support for arresting the two Chinese culprits who were later arrested at the Mumbai airport.”
