Mumbai: As part of their mission, the GJEPC delegation recently visited Panama to assess market needs, identify business opportunities, and network with industry associations and leading companies. The aim is to solidify India’s presence in the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region’s gems and jewellery sector and encourage greater participation in international trade events.

During their visit, the Indian Ambassador to Panama, Costa Rica & Nicaragua Dr. Sumit Seth addressed the gathering, emphasising the importance of strengthening economic ties between India and Panama. He highlighted the shared goals of increased trade and collaboration. The event was organised by the Embassy in collaboration with GJEPC, underscoring the joint efforts to boost bilateral trade in the gems and jewellery sector.

A networking dinner followed, where Indian and Panamanian companies explored avenues to enhance trade. This event provided an invaluable opportunity for the delegates to forge new connections and discuss potential collaborations with leading Panamanian companies.
