Panaji: All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC)’s much anticipated grand jewellery exhibition show –

Preferred Manufacturer of India (PMI) has been inaugurated by Mr. Vijai Sardesai Hon. Minister for Town and Country Planning, Agriculture, Factories & Boilers, Government of Goa. This is the 3rd in the fourth edition of Preferred Manufacturer of India (PMI) Grand Networking Meet.  The grand exhibition will commence from 12th June, 2018 and conclude on 14th June in Goa. PMI is an exclusive B2B exhibition which allows retailers from the various regions to visit the show and conduct business with the jewellery manufacturers.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Honorable Minister, Mr. Vijai Sardesai complimented the effort taken by GJC for organizing the grand networking in Goa. “I’m happy that GJC is organizing its premier show Preferred Manufacturer of India (PMI) in Goa and bringing the top jewelers of the country in our state. I also appreciate the way it is being organized by GJC where there is focused business with all the elements of leisure and I feel that Goa is an ideal destination to host events like PMI. I wish all the very best for all the participants and appreciate Mr. Nitin Khandelwal, Chairman-GJC and Sumeet Anand, Convenor PMI for choosing Goa for this premium event,” the Honorable Minister said.  He also welcomed the idea of GJC for setting up skill development units in Goa for skilling the local people as jewellery artisans which can really help our people to empower themselves and also help the state to become a jewellery manufacturing hub.

Nitin Khandelwal expressed, “GJC being the Apex body of Gems & Jewellery in India undertakes various initiatives and programmes that are aimed at improving industry business practices, promote compliance, standardization and transparency, promoting professionalism for the growth and development of the industry sector.  GJC also initiates various promotional activities to further the retail businesses as well as manufacturing segments through various dedicated platforms. PMI is such an initiative where we are providing a luxury podium for the manufacturers and retailers for focused

business.  Today, PMI is known for its commitments towards providing fine platform where the buyers and sellers get maximum time to understand each other.  I think there is a need to evolve PMI as a model for doing business through exhibition as it beats all odds and builds stronger bond amongst the buyer and seller.

Sumeet Anand opined that in a volatile market condition, we need game changers and PMI is the game changer for the gems and jewellery Industry. This event is known for giving fresh air to business and trade and with every new edition we are evolving, innovating and learning from our past experiences.  As the name suggest, PMI is for preferred people of the industry and we are committed to remain focussed on our objectives and goals. That could be the reason why we are very particular with the selection process of the retailers and only those are invited to this exclusive shows who are hand-picked to ensure best matching of seller profiles. Networking for business is the new-age mantra for successful enterprises and PMI offers manufacturers a dedicated platform that facilitates better relationship building with the country’s most prominent jewellery retailers.

Apart from the extravagant business experience, PMI event also offers exquisite leisure to its participants. The venue and properties for conducting PMI events are strategically well thought by the organiser. Today, PMI has emerged as a leader in premium B2B show as it has been able to constantly innovate and upgrade with time and requirement of participants. Moreover, PMI participants are prominent as they are handpicked by PMI team by considering their leadership and eminence in their respective product lines. From the jewellery retailer’s perspective, PMI is an opportunity that offers the best jewellery brands from Kashmir to Kanyakumari on a single platform with product categories like gold antique and mass jewellery, jadau and polkhi, diamond jewellery and many more.

The main attraction of PMI is that the programme is conducted in a manner to maintain perfect blend of business & leisure experience. Moreover, it is held in select cities and towns that have been especially chosen with the objective of filling in the gaps between the manufacturers and retailers demand and supply needs. Besides, every participants gets equal opportunity to engage with the leading retailers from across the country. PMI is such an event which provides 360o solutions to the participants by fulfilling several business objectives, including enhancement of the brand’s image and expansion of market share by establishing and reinforcing business relationships with prominent retailers of India.
