Johannesburg: Renowned diamond industry journalist Chaim Even-Zohar has been awarded an Honorary Life Membership of the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa (DDC) for his lifetime dedication and contribution to the diamond industry.

Ernie Blom, Chairman of the DDC and World Federation of Diamond Bourses President, presented Even-Zohar with the membership certificate.

“We, as the Diamond Dealers Club of South Africa, wanted to honour and recognise what Chaim has done for the diamond industry on a global basis – his contribution to the industry as an analyst and watchdog is highly appreciated,” said Blom.

Even-Zohar’s passion and absolute honesty has made him a somewhat controversial figure. He lives in Israel and is the Managing Director of Tacy Ltd, a consulting company to the diamond industry and a generator of information and news via a regular newsletter published and distributed across the globe to diamond industry members.
