Mumbai: Taken-aback by the disastrous calamity, Aisshpra Gems & Jewels disseminated immediate relief for the victims of flood affected areas in the outskirts of Gorakhpur. Aisshpra family participated in the flood relief fund and their employees were present in the village Macchaliya to assist people with necessities like –food, water etc. The brand distributed 2500 lunch packs along with packaged water to families in the flood-affected villages. Relief packs were air-dropped in remote locations with the use of helicopter service.

Water was released from Nepal into Rapti & Rohini Rivers yesterday and due to cracks in embankment, resulted into flood in 10 localities including Zafar Colony, Bahrampur, Rasulpur and Pipapur. The calamity took place in a flash and washed away settlements leaving people with no or minimal support for survival.

‘We are saddened by the distraught that took place in the outskirts of Gorakhpur. We were swift and tried to reach out to as many flood-affected areas and families as possible. As a brand born and raised in Gorakhpur, we own a responsibility towards this city.
