6th IIJW Inaugurated in Mumbai

Mumbai: The much awaited 6th edition India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) was inaugurated on Monday by the Bollywood actress and Brand Ambassador of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) Ms. Sonam Kapoor in presence of Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis, designer-cum-politician Ms. Shaina NC, Chairman of the GJEPC Mr. Vipul Shah, Convener of the IIJW Mr. Sanjay Kothari and other dignitaries.

This year’s IIJW kicked off with the BETI show by supported by Gitanjali Group and featured dazzling line up of stars and celebrities walking on the ramp with fabulous jewellery designs.

Mr. Vipul Shah, Chairman of the GJEPC commented, “Since its inception in 2010, IIJW has evolved as the most creative, intricate, and artistic design platform for the jewelry design talent in India. IIJW 2015 will also present designers from Thailand this year, who will showcase exclusive Jewellery from Thailand.”

Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, who clinched her first women’s doubles Grand Slam title earlier this month, set the ramp on fire as the showstopper for Moni Agarwal. She showcased Agarwal’s royal and exquisite Zohrakshi jewellery collection.

The 6th edition of IIJW, being held between 3rd and 6th August will showcase designs by Gitanjali Gems Ltd, Tanishq, Bridhichand Ghanshyamdas, Varuna D Jani, Moni Agrawal, Monica Kapur, Shoba Shringar, Surya Gold in association with Swarovski, IIGJ Mumbai and Delhi, Diosa with Swarovski, AAKS Jewels, Sunil Jewellers, Anand Shah by GSI, Jewels by Preeti, Yoube Jewellers, NID Design graduates and GDK Jewellers.
