5th Edition of GJTCI Excellence Awards

Ahmedabad: With a view to encourage and boost the jewellery industry and people related to it, GJTCI organize GJTCI  Excellence Awards to recognize and felicitate the uniqueness and unmatched craftsmanship of our Jewellery Industry.

GJTCI has been an integral part of the Gem & Jewellery industry for almost one & half decade now, organizing multifarious activities for the growth of industry. Council has been reaching new heights every year with an aim to unite the Jewellery sector and create a platform where any jeweller – small or big – can come to with their suggestions, ideas, issues etc. To promote the Jewellery Industry GJTCI has widened its role with support from all trade members. GJTCI has more than 1100 members pan India and abroad. Council organizes various education & trade motivational events such as seminars, exhibition, foreign trade delegations etc for its esteemed members. GJTCI also indulges in imparting knowledge in various fields like jewellery designing, gem testing etc. We organize activities to highlight craftsmen & small scale industries within the jewellery industry.

GJTCI, on January 6, 2018 hosted one of the most prestigious award ceremonies of  Indian Gems & Jewellery industry with the motive to felicitate the Fellow Trade Members who immensely contribute towards the growth and progress of the whole Jewellery Industry through their hard work and dedication.

The event took place at YMCA International Centre, Ahmedabad. All veteran jewelers and representatives from leading jewellery associations came from different destinations to witness the grandeur event and celebrate the shimmer of our industry.

“This year, apart from exclusivity in jewellery , we also look upto individuals from jewellery industry with social welfare and felicitate their efforts to make the society a better place to live in . “ says Shri Shantibhai Patel- President-GJTCI.

Mrs. Arpita Patel- Education Division Head, GJTCI – informed that this year too, we aimed at encouraging women entrepreneurs in jewellery field by felicitating them in a separate category.

The event was presented by Swarovski and Powered by GIA. Total 38 Awards were given for various categories like Best Diamond Jewellery, Best Bridal jewellery, Best promotion, Best Gold/ Antique/Studded/Kundan/Silver jewellery, Exports-Import, woman entrepreneurs , social services, lifetime achievement etc. from across the nation.  Mr. Nitin Khandelwal (Chairman GJF), Mr. Mukesh Mehta (President IBJA), Mr Shailesh Patwari (President GCCI) were among the few dignitaries present in the ceremony.
